Back in September Mike and Danika had an amazing Hamilton Spice Factory wedding. When I first sat down with them at a coffee shop in Toronto, they expressed to me how they wanted a layback wedding and just wanted to truly enjoy the day with everyone. I was hooked. They talked about their plans and vision and the wheels were already turning in my head about how awesome this would be. The day started at her fathers beautiful property for their first look and photos. It was such a perfect setting to start the day. Then moving on to downtown Hamilton, they treated their whole bridal party and family to tacos and tequila at The Mule. I don’t think there’s a better way to set the tone going into your ceremony! After the bellies were full, they all walked together down the street for their Hamilton Spice Factory wedding where they had an intimate ceremony under candlelight. It was so beautiful and the perfect way to end the day. Danika took some time to write about her wedding.
“Hamilton is where we were born, where we grew up and where we fell in love 11 years ago. For more than a decade we have lived between Hamilton and Toronto but Hamilton is home and there was no question that it would be where we got married. We wanted a wedding that was relaxed, simple and, most importantly, genuine. It was really important to us that our guests had lots of amazing food to eat, were surrounded by the warmth of florals and candlelight, and that they truly enjoyed the celebration. That is why we chose a Hamilton Spice Factory wedding. It was the perfect setting for our vision. We wanted everyone to feel at home. In the end, it looked like a wedding but it felt like so much more.”
