That’s me in Portland, Oregon this past January exploring deep into the forest. I had never really done anything like that before… purposely walk an hour into the woods just to turn around and walk back with no reason other then to explore and take pictures. It was kind of a turning point for me and made me really think about photography and my business.
I have photographing for over 8 years and I am going into my fourth season of weddings. At the end of 2015 I was exhausted from work. I was shooting up to three weddings a weekend and then spending all week in front of a computer editing and figuring out ways to expand my business. On top of that, I was trying to keep up with my social life and spending time with my wife. I was tired and worn out. However, I grew so much with my photography and business and worked with so many amazing couples.
As the year came to a close, I really started to think about my life, my business and my brand. I pulled out my notebook and started writing. What did I want? I wanted a life, I wanted to travel and I wanted to do things my way. I wanted to shoot for me… What did that look like? How do I approach it? So many questions were circling around in my head and as I started to answer them my new brand was born.
I have been working under K Push Studios for the past 4 years and when I would ask myself what K Push Studios was, I couldn’t answer it. I really didn’t know why I was working under a name that seemed to be a part of my past. Something that wasn’t relevant to me anymore. I also struggled with why I was hiding behind a company when it was ME putting out the work. It was time for me to step out and represent myself and be the face of everything I have worked so hard for.
So… my name is TJ Tindale and thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little. This process and change has been four months of excitement, frustration, uncertainty and anticipation. Now that I have put this out to the world, there is no turning back and it is time to charge ahead and make my dreams and goals a reality!
Looking forward to sharing this new chapter in my career with you all!
